INGATHER Research & Innovation Resort provides the space, the technology, and an understanding of ethnography to our partners. While we can set you loose within the Resort to do market research on your own, we can also stand by to help you reach the goals for your particular focus group.

Ethnographies account for close to 10% of qualitative research conducted in the United States. The need for gaining deeper insight into consumer behaviors versus merely relying on quantitative numbers have not gone unnoticed at INGATHER. Our services are designed with ethnography in mind.

INGATHER recognizes the complexity of studies that look to go deeper into the respondents mind. You don’t always want two or three word answers. You want to discover how the respondent thinks, feels, and lives his or her life. At our Innovation Resort you can submerse yourself in a comfortable environment that is conducive to this kind of discovery.

That is the INGATHER difference.

But not all ethnographic research can be done at our research house. When your study requires research outside of INGATHER, we can still assist you. We are pleased to provide our clients with a variety of ethnographic research methodologies including:

INGATHER has in-house audio/visual recording equipment and can serve as your videographer, note-taker, or even an interviewer during the course of your study. Additionally, we take the next steps in scheduling, so that your interviews are carefully planned to accommodate for distance, time, travel, and traffic. All interviews are logically planned out for the best geography mix and detailed mapping is done for you. INGATHER is also happy to provide a GPS and/or driver for you and your clients should you not want to deal with the hassle of moving around an unfamiliar city.

INGATHER can work with you and your clients to obtain permission when shop-a-longs are being conducted as well as picking up gift cards and handling the incentives if this is your preference.
